Prescott

We planned the next morning to get up early and drive to Cottonwood were we wanted to attend a church on the Sunday morning. However our body clocks still needed to adjust and we did not not wake up until about 8:15am. As a result we did not arrive at our destination. We drove up a really steep slop from a small place called Congress and ended up in Prescott. It appeared to be a very nice place. The main street was very busy with lots of people. There was the annual lighting of the lights at the court house (we found out later). We settled at an RV park for the night and made contact with others via the Internet for the first time.
As we did not arrive in Cottonwood we made our way the the Prescott Community Church - which according to their website - was a reformed church. The message was very different than what we are used to. After the service we found the people there very open and welcoming. We were invited to Domanic and Ellamarie's house for lunch - which turned into Dinner and breakfast the following morning as well. They were excellent hosts and very generous. We were very privileged to be able to visit with them. We had some good discussions with them in regards to bringing up children and some of the different practices we have. We could share our faith with them as well.

In the afternoon we attended the Trinity Presbyterian Church - where they had a Christmas concert with a large choir and an orchestra. For the evening we parked the RV behind Domonic's and Ellamarie's house as they had connection to sewer and power.
