First Impressions and experiences of America

The landing in LAX and moving to the hotel went well. We had to then decide what to do for dinner so we down to the hotel restaurant. We ordered 2 pizza's thinking - that should do us - till we saw the size of them - HUGE. We managed to eat just 1. We could not unfortunately keep the rest as we did not have a fridge in our hotel rooms.

The next morning the RV arrived at the hotel. It took some time to sort everything out in it and then drive down to the Walmart store. We went shopping together in the Walmart store but then found that we could not get back into the RV. We had to get a locksmith out to open the door for us. It was some bother as all Deanne's food stuffs where in the RV and it was cooling down. After go this all sorted we then made our way through the city in heavy traffic.

We overnighted at another Walmart before heading of of the city. We travelled as far as a place called Indo along the Interstate 10. It was a road with plenty of trucks, but just as well it was at least 2 lanes all the way. Rough road though. The wind turbines power plant was an amazing sight. Boy those knockers of wind power and the 'visual pollution' they make should come and have a look at the vast numbers and the effectiveness of these machines. Much better than the big hole in the ground and pollution of the coal power generators.
